Good chiller for the price.
As long as users treat the Mylek as a chiller/cooler and not a fridge or air con unit then it is fine. We use the Mylek primarily in the bedroom and to get best performance I did the following:
1. Raised the Mylek on a plinth (approx 6" high) so the air blows over the bed instead of AT the bed
2. Levelled the Mylek so that the water, when on cooling, ran evenlly down the trough. On first use the water ran into one corner only.
3. On advice of a review I read I run the Mylek on de-ionised water - so no smells or water going green.
4. To empty the Mylek take it to your shower and empty in the shower tray. The top trough I empty using a sponge to mop up first. Finish off the emptying process by drying off with kitchen towel so nice and dry.
5. Keep a bottle of (de-ionised) water in the fridge so when topping up the water is already chilled.
Operating the Mylek applying the tips above gives a nice flow of cooled air. The remote is useful and the timer is a good feature. I am happy to recommend the Mylek but do follow my tips for best performance.

Bought this with the extreme hot weather in mind it`s been in constant use. Easy to use and portable so can use in any room.

Better than nothing
I bought this during the really hot period this summer. It helped bug the limitations outweighed the advantages. It requires filling every few hours. You can’t drain the water holder for cleaning out do you have to sponge it out. The ice coolers provided leak as the screw lids don’t screw on properly. It will bring the room temps down by 1-2 degrees and the humidity will rise 10-15 % which is ok if it’s dry heat in your area. You have to sit in front of the air flow to feel any relief. It did achieve one thing though, our minds were made up, we need proper air con.

It was watered money. Not last long maybe 5 minutes of cold air then it was just a big noisy fan.
