Disappointing - Canopy attachment too weak
The Outsunny 4x3 mtr gazebo comes well packed. The frame is well thought out with clips to provide positive attachment between most parts and plastic reinforcing sleeves to support the joints in the roof frame.
The ridge pole (Part 8 on the instructions), does not have locating clips and is a very loose fit in its plastic connectors. This makes frame assembly unnecessarily difficult as secure connections are required. The problem was solved by applying a couple of turns of plastic tape to each end of the ridge pole, making it the tight fit it needs to be.
The lightweight canopy attaches to the side rails by means of velcro tabs, one on each of the short sides and two on each of the long sides. Our old gazebo, for which this is a replacement used many more velcro tabs to attach the canopy.
In today’s modest breeze, one of the velcro attachments has pulled off, meaning we have to take down the gazebo to carry out repairs. There appears to be a reinforcing patch behind the velcro but, in reality, it does not serve any useful purpose because its sole attachment to the canopy is the same small row of stitches the holds the velcro in place. When the stitching pulls through (as it has done, leaving a hole in the canopy), the patch comes away with it.
Our old 4x3 mtr gazebo lasted for at least 12 years before a major storm damaged it.. This one lasted less than 2 hours in the breeze on a hot, sunny day.
This is an inexpensive gazebo but still it has been a disappointing experience. We plan to repair and modify the canopy to make it better fit for purpose, mainly by adding more velcro with proper reinforcing behind it.

Refunds for orders cancelled under the provisions of the Consumer Contracts Regulations will be processed in accordance with your legal rights.

Contact our Customer Services team who will be able to arrange a collection for your item with the supplier. Please ensure that you provide your order number when contacting customer services.
If you are not at home when we try to collect we reserve the right to deduct from your refund or charge your credit card the direct costs to us of the failed return in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
