Not a bad solution for cooking veg at work
I bought this steamer to cook greens in the microwave at work. It works well with more robust greens like kale but has been known occasionally to burn broccoli when cooked on the highest setting. In my opinion, as with all microwaving, the cooked food is of an inferior quality than food steamed conventionally on the hob. Nevertheless, this is a reasonable compromise given the limitations of the office kitchen. I have not tried to cook meat or fish in the steamer (yet).
