faulty lights
i bought these lights to brighten up the garden at night, kept them switched off for a few days to give them chance to charge, 3 days / evenings later switched them on
:nothing, not a glimmer: informed Richard Dyas they were very good and sent replacements, the old ones are at our recycling ctr.

Faulty batch maybe?
Bought two boxes of these solar lights online. Followed the instructions i.e. turn off and charge in sunlight for 48h before first use. No matter what I did the charge lasted seconds so I suspect the solar batteries are a bad batch. I have used solar lights before without any problems. No issues returning the goods to the Robert Dyas shop.

Stopped working after 1 week
Two lights stopped working within a week of placing them in the garden. I've bought some new batteries, so we will see how that goes. They look nice enough but aren't much use if they don't work for very long.
