Why buy Christmas string lights?

String lights are possibly the most popular form of Christmas lights available because they’re beautiful, cost-effective, and can be relatively flexible as to their positioning. For example, indoor string lights can be fastened around a large mirror, doorway, or wound round your Christmas tree to bring festive sparkles to your living room and dining room. On the other hand, outdoor Christmas string lights can be wound around trees, hedges, bushes, gutters, drainpipes, and even trickle down in front of your windows like icicles. Check out our guide for our best advice on how to hang Christmas lights outside if you’re considering some of these for your home.

They’re available in tasteful yellow or white to achieve a warm or frosty glow, whichever you’d prefer, or you could opt for the fun and jazzy multicoloured string lights to bring that ‘pop’ of colour (or for even more ‘wow’ factor, check out our novelty lights). Robert Dyas provides different quantities of these LED Christmas string lights that are powered either by batteries or mains operated, so you can find the right size pack for your space and fittings.
