With travel options up in the air (pun intended) more of us are flocking to UK beaches, lakes and mountains. All socially distanced of course. Ice cream, fish and chips, an ice cold drink are all delicious staycation essentials, but what about the practical ones? Here are some items you’ll want by your side when you venture to your holiday destination of choice.

Parasol

British weather can be notoriously unpredictable. One second you are basking in the sun, the next you are diving for cover from a downpour. With a parasol, you are covered for both as it provides shade and protection from rain.

Deck chair

Rise above everyone sitting on the sand or grass with a summer design classic, the deck chair. Bright, bold, and most importantly comfortable for the hours spent relaxing, reading, or socialising in the sun.

Picnic hamper

If you’re bringing your own treats to your staycation, you may as well bring them in style with a traditional hamper, complete with all the utensils you’ll need to tuck into all your favourite foods.

Wireless speaker

The dulcet tones of nature may be alright for some, but for sounds a bit more tuneful, a wireless speaker is the perfect beach companion. Plus, with bluetooth enabled all of your friends and family can pair with your device and play a track with no problems. Unless their taste in music is terrible.
